Hunter's love of racing began on his fifth birthday. Grandma and Grandpa bought him a little go kart he could drive in the backyard. He loved it so much, dad decided to look into a place where he could drive that wouldn't ruin the lawn.

That's where Bill McCallister of California Kartworld came in. Since Bill lives close by, Dad saw his trailer and decided to check it out. Dad soon visited Bill's shop and bought a kid kart for Hunter. He decided he really loved racing and wanted to be number 29 after his favorite Nascar driver, Kevin Harvick.

Through weeks of coaching (thanks to Bill), Hunter quickly learned the skills of driving a real kart at the local Prairie City track in Folsom, California.

A year later, and lots of practice, Hunter continues to win races - all while absolutely loving the sport. He even won the first competitive race he entered.
