Hunter started racing kid karts at 5½. As a kid kart driver, he won many championships including the Central Valley Championship and Northern California's Cross Over Series. He's now moved up to the Jr. Cadet class where he races numerous classes including Jr. 1 Comer, HPV 1, Rotax's Mini Max and Mini Roc. At age eight, he won the first Stars race he entered. In 2009, he was Region 11's Jr. Driver of the year and was ranked #1 by NorCalKarters.com. His love for racing has grown over the years and is now racing with the Grand Products team traveling across the United States.

In addition to karting, Hunter is very active in his school and currently VP of the school. He also loves to play baseball and football.
